I have always been an avid birder. I travel with binoculars and the idea of flight has been a fascination. Birds figure prominently in my art work both figuratively and more symbolically. A recent trip to Costa Rica informed some of my recent works that have bird forms partly hidden by overlapping tree and leaf motifs.
